
Iran Internet Blackout: The internet crisis in Iran is continuously deepening and now it has been included in the world's longest network blackout. According to internet monitoring group Netblocks, the internet shutdown in the country has reached more than 1000 hours. Since the beginning of March, connectivity has been limited to about 1 percent. This long shutdown has seriously affected the digital access and communication systems of the common people. The situation is still showing no signs of returning to normal.
According to internet monitoring agency NetBlocks, the internet blackout in Iran has reached more than 1000 hours. While sharing the data on Saturday, the agency said that network connectivity in the country remained almost completely closed. The report said that the internet level had fallen to around 1 percent since the beginning of March and remained at this level till April 10. NetBlocks also shared a graph on social media platform X in which this decline is clearly visible. This situation is believed to be one of the longest internet shutdowns in modern digital history.

According to the report, internet connectivity in Iran has reached a very limited level since the beginning of March. NetBlocks says that network penetration in the country has reduced to about 1 percent, due to which digital services of common people have almost come to a standstill. Most of the users are able to use only limited home networks. Contact with the outside world is almost completely disrupted. This long shutdown has seriously affected online services, communication and information exchange and people are facing immense problems.
It has been told in the report that this internet shutdown started on 28 February. According to previous reports by some international media and Netblocks, this situation started after the US-Israel and Iran disputes and attacks. There were also reports of deaths of thousands of people in these attacks. Since then, internet ban continues in Iran. The blackout has now extended to more than 40 days and is being counted as the longest national internet shutdown ever.
