During his visit to the Agra district today, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Maurya held an informal interaction with media representatives. During this interaction, he highlighted the achievements of the 'Double Engine' government—comprising both the Centre and the State—and launched a scathing attack on the negative politics practiced by opposition parties.Speaking to the media, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, both the nation and the state are currently passing through a golden era of development. He further remarked:He asserted that Uttar Pradesh has today emerged as a leading state in the country in terms of expressways, improved road connectivity, and a robust law and order situation. Schemes such as 'Ayushman Bharat' and the 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana' have brought about a transformative change in the lives of the poor. In Agra as well, the Metro Rail project and various other initiatives have injected fresh momentum into both tourism and the local economy.Praising the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Mr. Maurya observed that India's stature on the global stage has risen significantly. He stated, "Under Modi Ji's leadership, India is not merely becoming self-reliant but is also advancing towards assuming a leadership role on the world stage. The welfare of the poor remains the core mantra of our government."The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that the opposition has today become completely devoid of issues and direction. He noted that for decades, the opposition has engaged solely in the politics of appeasement and casteism, whereas the BJP government is working with the resolve of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' (Support of All, Development for All). Taking a jibe at his detractors, he remarked that those who have historically acted as patrons of corruption are today unable to perceive the ongoing developmental works. He asserted that the public has now firmly chosen the politics of development and has completely rejected the dynastic mindset of the opposition.Reassuring the people of the state through the media, he affirmed that the government remains committed to transforming the entire state of Uttar Pradesh—including Agra—into a model state. He declared that this pace of development is unstoppable, and in the times to come, Uttar Pradesh will set new benchmarks in terms of economic growth.Local public representatives, party functionaries, and senior officials from the administration were also present during this interaction.
