Kharge surrounded by controversial remarks on PM Modi, BJP complains to Election Commission; Demand for apology from Congress

A BJP delegation met the Election Commission on Wednesday and demanded strict action against Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. BJP has filed this complaint with the Election Commission regarding his comment calling Prime Minister Modi a 'terrorist'. Regarding this entire matter, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has said that we have met the EC with great sadness.

Rijiju said that Kharge called PM Modi a 'terrorist'. Congress insulted the entire country. This has never happened before. Congress should apologize to the entire country. We have requested the Election Commission that if we use language like this, we will weaken democracy.
Strictest action should be taken against Kharge. Kharge should apologize to the people of the country.

Public will teach Congress a lesson- Rijiju

It is not right for someone to call the PM of the country a terrorist. Action is being taken so that no one does anything like this again. We will end terrorism only under the leadership of PM Modi. He said that the people of India will teach a lesson to the Congress Party. But only Modi will teach a lesson to terrorism.

Kharge later clarified on the controversial comment

During a press conference in Chennai, Congress' Kharge had called PM Modi a terrorist. However, later he also gave clarification on this. Kharge said that I want to make it clear that PM Modi always threatens. All the agencies are in their hands. They use it to intimidate people. I never said he was a terrorist. I said that they are terrorizing people.
