Rajpal Yadav On Check Bounce Case: Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has been in controversies for many years regarding check bounce of Rs 5 crore. In the year 2012, he had a film named 'Ata Pata Lapata', which was a flop. He is accused of taking a loan of Rs 5 crore from a company for making a film, but he did not return the money. He is also accused of giving several checks to return the money, which bounced, after which the matter went to court. Rajpal Yadav has been in controversies regarding this matter for a long time. He has also been to jail. Now he himself has spoken openly on this matter.
Rajpal Yadav says that it is not about Rs 5 crore. Rs 22 crores were spent on his film, but his film was not allowed to run even for three days. In an interview, Rajpal said, "What is the reason that there is a problem of Rs 5 crore. Why is it happening for the last 14 years that a man takes out a video and says that three and a half crores of mine must have been lost in the case. Three and a half crores of Rs 5 crore must have been lost in the case. So, the accused must not have spent his Rs 5 crore while traveling from Mumbai to Delhi, from Delhi to Mumbai."
Rajpal said, "If there was an issue of Rs 5 crore, it would have been settled in 2012. These 5 crores have done the work of sinking Rs 17 crores. My film worth Rs 17 crores was sunk. Even after this company had seen 70 percent of the film, Rs 5 crores were still lying around. Rs 12 crores had already been spent on the film. Rs 5-7 crores were spent on the release. A project worth Rs 22 crores was made. Even if you become my enemy, you will still be in the project." Even if the 10 people whose money is invested become enemies, the project has to come before the public, neither you nor I have the right to do it to zero until the public takes a decision.”
He also said, "What was the intention of this Rs 5 crore from the year 2012? My intention was good. You can also go to Google and see the music release to see whether you like that 15-20 crore project or not. What was my crime that the film is going to be released in 1000-1200 theaters in Mumbai, Bachchan Saheb is inaugurating it, even if that film was of two paise, why should that film not run for three days?" Before that he himself said in the video that you killed 22 crores by holding a press conference.
