Why is KC Venugopal on the lips of everyone from small workers to big leaders this time? What will happen if UDF government is formed in Kerala?

In the recent exit polls, almost everyone is claiming a Congress led government in Kerala. In such a situation, there is a discussion from the bottom to the top in the party about making KC Venugopal, Congress MP from Kerala, General Secretary of the organization for almost seven years and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee in the Parliament, i.e. a very powerful person in the Congress for a long time, as the Chief Minister of Kerala. Venugopal is considered closest to Rahul in the party. It is said that even though Rahul may not hold any position in the party organization, it is Venugopal who implements the decisions for him.

Since Venu takes major decisions in the party, now his strong team has also been formed in the organization. According to Raipur convention, there is a principle of holding one post for 5 years, Venu has been on the same post for about 7 years. According to sources close to Venu, he wants to become the CM of Kerala but his future will be decided by Rahul after taking opinion from the MLAs.

What do KC Venugopal's supporters want?

In such a situation, it is interesting that Venu supporters also want their leader to become the CM, while Venu's opponents in the party also want that Venu should go to Keralam and become the CM and someone else should sit on the post of General Secretary of the Central Organization. However, at the time of Kerala elections, seeing the possibility of coming to power, many rebel Congress candidates had stood up, who could spoil the game. Then Venu camped in Keralam and did man-to-man marking, met each rebel separately and got them to return their names.

However, in the assembly elections, more than 10 MPs wanted to become ministers after winning in Kerala, while some were eyeing the CM's chair. Due to these MPs including KC, the parties were not seen fighting among themselves in the electoral atmosphere of the state, hence no MP was given ticket. Yes, it was definitely said that when the government is formed, the high command will take the decision after taking the opinion of the MLAs, then it can also go in favor of any MP.

Satheesan can beat everyone in the race

However, Legislature Party leader VD Satheesan and senior leader Ramesh Chennithala are also in Venu's path. At the same time, sources say that the age of Ramesh Chennithala can prove to be an obstacle in his path, while VD Satheesan, who has been continuously doing state politics and has made headlines as the leader of the opposition, can defeat everyone in the race. However, if in Congress, if the high command sends a message to the MLAs that it is in favor of a particular name, then it usually gets the upper hand.

The most important thing is this – would Rahul Gandhi himself want to remove Venu from central politics and send him to state politics? Because whether it is the central and state issues of the party organization, the party's strategy in Parliament, daily talks with the allies of India Bloc or conveying Rahul's message at important places, all these tasks are done by Venu.

Will Rahul be able to relieve Venu?

Over the years, Venu's comfort level and trust with Rahul is also excellent. In such a situation, will Rahul be able to relieve Venu and quickly find his replacement? This is the biggest question. It is around all these questions that senior Congress leaders or workers are found discussing among themselves and asking each other, what do you think, I think so. In such a situation, if UDF wins after the results are declared on May 4, then this discussion is sure to intensify till the announcement of the Chief Minister of Kerala.
