Special rescue campaign will run in Delhi from 11 to 15 May, destitute people will get help

Addressing a press conference organized at Apna Ghar Ashram, Pooth Khurd, Delhi, Delhi Government's Social Welfare and Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class Welfare Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh said that from May 11 to May 15, 2026, special service and rescue campaign will be conducted in all the 13 districts of Delhi. This campaign will be conducted under the joint aegis of Social Welfare Department (Delhi Government), Apna Ghar Ashram, and Seva Bharti Delhi Province.

He told that under this campaign, needy, helpless and destitute people will be rescued and brought to their home ashrams, where arrangements will be made for their treatment, care and rehabilitation.

Complete Delhi This special rescue operation will be conducted through 19 vehicles and it is estimated that more than 300 people will be provided assistance. On this occasion, Dr. BM Bhardwaj, founder of Apna Ghar Ashram and Dr. Sanjay Jindal from Seva Bharti Delhi Province were also present.

Special service and rescue operation for destitute people

Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh said that a one window system has been set up for the successful operation of this campaign, in which the Social Welfare Department will play a major role. Delhi government will ensure full cooperation and coordination during this entire campaign.

He said that service to humanity is the biggest religion. Serving the neglected and destitute people of the society is actually equivalent to serving God. In our culture, service to man is considered service to Narayan and Apna Ghar Ashram is working with this spirit.

Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh, while appreciating the services of Apna Ghar Ashram, said that the organization not only rescues destitute people, but also works on their treatment, care, rehabilitation and taking them back to their families after recovery.

Initiative of Delhi Government and Apna Ghar Ashram

He said that many times questions are raised in the society regarding such institutions, but the person who will come to his home ashram and see the spirit of service there, will experience real humanity. He said that many social organizations including Seva Bharti are also taking active part in this campaign.

Ravindra Indraj Singh appealed to the media representatives and all sections of the society to cooperate in this campaign and said that more and more people should join this service of humanity and participate in bringing positive change in the lives of the needy people.

He assured that the Delhi government will provide 24-hour prompt support during this five-day campaign, so that timely assistance can be provided to any needy person.
