Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returned to the   this year for the closing ceremony. The actress, along with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, took over the French Riviera with her drop-dead gorgeous looks for the red carpet. On her second day at Cannes, Rai Bachchan wore a white pantsuit with a feather wrap. During the day activities, Aishwarya was greeted with the loudest cheer from fans. As the actress disembarked from the car, the fans chanted, “Aishwarya, Aishwarya,” leaving her surprised and delighted. She later walked the red carpet again.

In a video that went viral, a group of female fans could be seen waiting for  . The moment they saw her, they cheered for her and sought her attention. The actress could be heard asking a fan’s name for an autograph on a specially designed poster. She clicked pictures with her admirers and said, “God bless,” after posing with a young girl.

 

Aishwarya made her debut on May 22. She wore a custom couture by Amit Aggarwal. The outfit was designed under Aggarwal’s Luminara, a creation centred around the idea of light in motion. The piece explored light not simply as illumination, but as energy, movement, and force; translated through sculptural construction and engineered craftsmanship. According to an official statement, Amit’s signature Crystal Vein was developed over more than 1500 hours of meticulous handwork. Thousands of crystalline linear embellishments have been individually placed across the gown, held together through an intricate lattice-like structure that binds the crystal veins seamlessly across the body to create the effect of illuminated pathways moving across the body.

The second look of the day was in a pastel pink gown. The actress posed for pictures with her daughter Aaradhya, who looked gorgeous in a red cape gown. The 14-year-old stood tall with her mother. On Saturday, Aishwarya wore the white pantsuit that got a glam touch with the white feather boa. Her wavy hair, smoky eyes and dual-toned lips added elegance and edge to the look.

While Aishwarya attended the Cannes Film Festival 2026’s , many Indian celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aditi Rao Hydari, Mouni Roy, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Urvashi Rautela represented the country on the global platform. Marathi stars, Ashok Saraf, Nivedita Saraf, Prajakta Mali, and Ankita Prabhu Walawalkar also walked the red carpet.
