Bharat Gas Booking: People often face frustration when trying to book cooking gas. Sometimes phone lines are unreachable, while at other times bookings remain pending; however, there is no need to worry anymore, as Bharat Gas has reinstated one of its long-standing and trusted services. This is the very service that customers have been eagerly awaiting for a long time. So, what exactly is this good news, and how will it help reduce your hassle? Let us explain.
The good news for customers is that LPG home delivery services have resumed in several regions. Before this, HP had also restarted its previously suspended facility for LPG cylinder home delivery. The government has significantly tightened the regulations regarding the usage of cooking gas (LPG). Consequently, the entire process—from booking a cylinder to receiving it—has undergone a complete transformation.
To curb black marketing, an OTP-based system has been made mandatory. Additionally, specific limits (capping) have been established for cylinder bookings in both rural and urban areas. Obtaining a cylinder is no longer as simple as it used to be, as it is now impossible to receive a cylinder without providing an 'OTP'. Read on to understand exactly what these new rules entail and what steps you must now take to obtain your cylinder.
How to Book Your Cylinder?
The government has introduced a new 'OTP System' to crack down on black marketeering. The process will now unfold as follows:
Booking via Registered Number: First and foremost, you must book your LPG cylinder exclusively using your registered mobile number. OTP: As soon as the booking is confirmed, you will receive an OTP on your mobile number. Mandatory OTP Verification: When the delivery personnel arrives at your home—or if you visit the agency in person—you must present that OTP to them. Verification: The delivery boy will verify the OTP within the system. You will be handed your new cylinder only after the OTP has been successfully verified. Essential Documents: Please ensure that you have your gas passbook with you at the time of receiving the cylinder, as this is absolutely mandatory.
