3. Some natural disasters may come from the water. What are they? Why does that happen?
4. What kind of act people could do to conserve water for our future generation?
Jawaban:
Building on the previous points, we must realize that our current habits and the environment are changing. Understanding how we use water and the risks of neglecting it is a crucial step for global survival.
First, in this modern era, people use water for massive industrial manufacturing and large-scale agriculture. Unfortunately, many people still waste clean drinking water for unnecessary activities, such as leaving taps running or over-watering decorative gardens.
Second, a severe scarcity of water can lead to dangerous results. For example, when water is scarce, farmers face failed harvests, which leads to global food shortages and higher prices. It can also cause sanitation problems, spreading diseases more quickly.
Third, water can also be a source of natural disasters like prolonged droughts and devastating flash floods. These happen because of unstable climate change and the loss of natural water absorption areas due to urban development. When the ground cannot soak up rain, water becomes a threat instead of a blessing.
Fourth, we can perform simple conservation acts to protect future generations. We can start by harvesting rainwater, fixing leaky pipes immediately, and reducing our daily water consumption. These small efforts will ensure that our grandchildren still have access to safe water.
In conclusion, the way we treat water today determines our future. By reducing waste and protecting our natural resources, we prevent disasters and ensure a healthy planet. Therefore, water conservation is not just an option; it is a mandatory responsibility for everyone.
