New pace to Delhi’s development! Sewer project worth Rs 138 crore started in Karawal Nagar Assembly

On the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party is celebrating a Seva Samarpan Pakhwada from June 5 Environment Day to June 21 Yoga Day, under which Delhi BJP is organizing public relations programs from today on the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government in all 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi. Through these programs, BJP workers will also present the achievements of the Central Government and Delhi Government among the public.

Today, on the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's central government dedicated to national development and public trust, Delhi BJP organized its first public meeting in Karawal Nagar Assembly, in which Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra gifted a sewer development scheme worth Rs 138 crore to Karawal Nagar Assembly in the presence of regional MLA and Delhi Government Minister Kapil Mishra. MP Manoj Tiwari, Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh, MLA Ajay Mahawar, North Eastern District BJP President Dr UK Chaudhary also addressed the public meeting.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Said that Karawal Nagar area was facing challenges related to drainage, sewer system, drinking water supply and infrastructure for a long time. The Delhi government is committed to a permanent solution to these problems and today's foundation stone laying is an important step in that direction.

Gift of Rs 138 crore to Karawal Nagar

He said that the aim of Delhi government is not just to make announcements but to give results on the ground. With this thinking, large scale development works are being started in Karawal Nagar area to expand the sewer network, strengthen the drainage system and improve civic facilities.

The Chief Minister said that in the last one year, development works worth more than Rs 300 crore have been approved in Karawal Nagar assembly constituency. Many important projects have been given impetus in the area through Chief Minister Development Fund, MLA Fund and Yamuna Trans Development Board.

He informed that a sewer line project worth Rs 138 crore has been started in the area. The work of laying sewer lines in various areas including Sonia Vihar, Milan Garden, Chauhan Patti and Sabhapur Extension will progress rapidly. Apart from this, continuous work is also being done to replace old water supply lines, clean old sewers with machines and improve drinking water supply.

Launch of projects for sewer-road-water

The Chief Minister said that the Delhi government is working on a war footing to solve problems like water supply and waterlogging. He informed that 3 Atal canteens have been started in the area. Apart from this, three health temples have also been approved so that the citizens can get better health facilities.

He said that the demand for a new hospital by the area residents has also come to his notice and the Delhi government will take positive initiatives in this direction in the future. The Chief Minister assured that efforts will be made to provide every facility necessary for the development of Karawal Nagar and Yamunapar.

The Chief Minister said that the works of construction of streets in Sabhapur Extension, construction of roads and drains from Rampal Chowk to Shiv Mandir and strengthening of electrical infrastructure in various areas are also in progress. He said that the aim of the government is to connect those areas of East and North-East Delhi with the mainstream of development which were deprived of basic facilities for years.

New beginning of development in Karawal Nagar

Delhi BJP President and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra said that out of the last 12 years, BJP was in opposition for 11 years, yet Prime Minister Narendra Modi continuously provided Delhi development infrastructure, who knows how many roads, metro rail and Delhi Meerut rail line, while he has made Delhi a world class meeting center by building new complexes in Bharat Mandapam and Dwarka. He said that in the coming days, we will discuss in detail the development plans given by the Central Government to Delhi.

Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said that in the previous government, his Chief Minister could not lay sewer line in Karawal Nagar in 11 years but definitely opened liquor vends at various places across Delhi. Due to non-functioning of STP and sewer line, the dirty water kept contaminating Yamuna directly. Today the work of 43 kilometer long sewer lines is starting in the colonies of Karawal Nagar. Now the work of sewer lines is going on continuously at a historic level for all the assemblies across Delhi.

Government's big plan on sewer-road-water

Art, Culture and Language Minister and Karawal Nagar MLA Kapil Mishra said that in its 11 years, the previous government did not make any effort to lay a network of sewer lines in the name of O-zone and absence of name in the map. Due to this, the houses built by people with their lifetime earnings would sink into the pit. The lines that were put in were never operational. Today, projects worth Rs 150 crore are being launched for laying sewer lines and other development works in 4 colonies of Karawal Nagar.

MP Manoj Tiwari said that in 2014, when I contested the first election from North Eastern Parliamentary Constituency, it was the most backward area of ​​Delhi, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi government gave so many development schemes to our North Eastern Parliamentary Constituency that today areas like Karawal Nagar, Ghonda, Babarpur, Mustafabad are becoming the choice of middle class people also.
