Meenakshi Natarajan, Congress candidate close to Rahul Gandhi from Madhya Pradesh, is in the fray for the Rajya Sabha elections. In front of him, BJP has fielded Mahesh Kewat in the elections. Meanwhile, objection has been lodged on the Rajya Sabha candidature form of BJP's Meenakshi Natarajan. BJP has complained about this to the election officer.

Bharatiya Janata Party alleges that the Congress candidate cited in the nomination form that he did not give information about the criminal case in the Telangana court. BJP alleges that Meenakshi had to give this information. Apart from this, BJP has also been accused of giving wrong information in the property details.

The election officer will give the verdict on the objection lodged by BJP at 5:30 pm, after which it will be clear whether his nomination will be considered valid or not. BJP says that the Congress candidate has not intentionally shared this information. Therefore he should not be allowed to contest elections.

Who is Meenakshi Natarajan?

Meenakshi Natarajan is considered a very senior and grassroots leader of the Indian National Congress (INC). He is considered close to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Actually, Meenakshi has been a part of the core team of former President Rahul Gandhi. Rahul is a fan of his honesty. Meenakshi is recognized as an honest leader.

It is said that Meenakshi Natarajan started student politics from NSUI. She was also the National President of NSUI from 1999 to 2002. After this, from 2002 to 2005, he held the responsibility of the post of Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress President. She was elected MP of the 15th Lok Sabha from Mandsaur constituency in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

Had to face defeat in Lok Sabha elections

However, he had to face defeat from BJP's Sudhir Gupta in the 2014 and 2019 elections. Presently she is working as AICC in-charge of Telangana and has also been the national president of 'Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Organization'. Now she is contesting Rajya Sabha elections as a Congress candidate from Madhya Pradesh.
