On the occasion of completion of 12 years of Nari Shakti, PM Narendra Modi has made a post on social media platform X. He said that the women of India have been the cornerstone in building the nation. Today she is making important contribution in every sector. India's sisters, mothers and daughters are leaving their mark in every field with their extraordinary talent and skills.

He further said that be it sea, sky or land, Indian women have earned name in all fields. That's why the PM has honored her by calling her the goddess of all three worlds.

Contributed to empowering women for 12 years

PM Modi said that in the last 12 years, the NDA government has introduced many opportunities to promote women empowerment, one of which is Nari Shakti. Our government has helped the women of India at every turn in making them economically self-reliant. Because of which today women have got a place in other institutions like science, health, sports, administration, education etc. We are proud of the women of India that they no longer depend on anyone, but become self-reliant and live their own lifestyle freely.

India's women power is the cornerstone of nation building. Today our mothers, sisters and daughters are making Mother India proud with their amazing talent and skills in every field.

What is self help group

PM Modi said that today our government is collaborating with Self Help Groups (SHGs) to provide long-term financial assistance to women. Actually, SHG is a small group which consists of about 10 to 20 people. These people usually belong to the same community or region and together solve their economic, social and personal problems. Such groups are often seen in villages.

Nari Shakti means empowering women so that they can bring change in their lives and society. It is necessary not only for women but for the entire society that we help women get their rightful rights so that there can be a change in the society in the true sense.
