The Central Government has officially announced the date of release of the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana. Rs 2,000 will be transferred to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers across the country on June 20, 2026. However, this time it is very important to complete e-KYC to get the money. Farmers whose process is incomplete will not be able to get the benefit of the installment.
Information has been given through the official X handle of PM Kisan Yojana that the 23rd installment will be released on June 20, 2026. Under this installment, the government will send financial assistance directly to the bank accounts of the farmers. The 22nd installment was released on March 13, 2026 and now farmers are going to get the benefit of the next installment. The objective of this scheme is to help the farmers in the expenses related to farming and to strengthen their financial condition. Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi is considered to be one of the largest direct benefit transfer schemes in the country.

Under PM Kisan Yojana, an installment of Rs 2,000 is given to eligible farmers every four months. In this way, a total of Rs 6,000 is sent directly to the bank account through three installments in a year. This amount helps farmers to meet their seed, fertilizer, irrigation and other agricultural needs. The scheme was started in the year 2019 and in the last seven years it has become an important economic support for crores of farmers of the country. The government claims that this scheme has played an important role in supporting the income of small and marginal farmers.
During the last i.e. 22nd installment under PM Kisan Yojana, the government had transferred a total of Rs 18,640 crore to the accounts of 9.32 crore farmers. With every installment, crores of farmers are directly benefited, thereby eliminating the role of middlemen and the money reaches the beneficiaries directly. The government is constantly working on improving the scope and transparency of the scheme so that eligible farmers can get timely assistance and do not have to face any problems.
To avail the benefit of the 23rd installment, farmers will have to complete the e-KYC process at all costs. The government has clarified that the installment amount will not be transferred to the accounts of farmers whose e-KYC is not completed. In such a situation, farmers should verify their information before June 20. The e-KYC process can be completed online and through the nearest common service centre. The aim of the government is to remove fake beneficiaries and extend the benefits of the scheme only to the eligible farmers. Therefore, it is considered very important to complete e-KYC on time.
