These days Akshay Kumar is waiting for the release of 'Welcome to the Jungle'. Meanwhile, his previous release 'Bhoot Bangla' has also come on OTT platform Netflix. Akshay Kumar, Rajpal Yadav and director Priyadarshan talked to Farah Khan about the OTT promotion of this film. During this, Farah told an incident of hers while working with Akshay. Farah had directed Akshay Kumar's 'Tees Maar Khan'. He has told that during this film, Akshay Kumar used helicopter like a taxi to come to the set.
farah khan Akshay told in a Netflix interview, "We were shooting Tees Maar Khan in Malshej. The call time was 8 am every morning. Everyone lived in Malshej. Malshej is two and a half hours away from Mumbai. Akshay used to go home every evening after pack-up and every morning he used to reach back there at quarter to 8 am. Tell me how?" To this Akshay replies with a helicopter.”
Farah Khan laughingly said that for the first time I saw that an actor is using a helicopter like a taxi. He said but Akshay Kumar Used to reach there on time. During this, Akshay said in a humorous manner that what problem did anyone have? I myself was the producer. On this Farah says yes, it is true, but I was also (producer). He ate my money. To this Akshay replied, "I ate your money. You have earned the most money from that film."
'Tees Maar Khan' was released in theaters on 24 December 2010. This film had an opening of Rs 13 crore at that time. But within no time its earnings started falling and the film could not go beyond Rs 60.91 crore at the domestic box office. Apart from Akshay Kumar, many actors including Akshay Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Ali Asgar, Arya Babbar, Raghu Ram-Rajeev Laxman, Aman Verma were seen in the film.
