Congress has put BJP-RSS in the dock in the case of theft of offerings in Shri Ram temple located in Ayodhya. Congress said that it has demanded a time-bound investigation into this entire matter by the sitting judge of Allahabad High Court and strict action against the culprits. In Delhi, Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai and Congress Legislature Party leader Aradhana Mishra said that BJP-RSS has betrayed the faith of crores of Ram devotees of the country and carried out an organized loot in the name of religion.
Ajay Rai said that Congress does not trust the SIT constituted by the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh in this matter. He said that the responsibility of investigation in SIT has been given to Vijay Vishwas Pant, he was the commissioner during the stampede in Allahabad Mahakumbh and himself is trapped in the investigation related to the stampede. In such a situation, this investigation is just an attempt to cover up. He demanded that the SIT report should be made public within a week.
Ajay Rai said that the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is directly responsible for this mega scam that took place at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. He said that retired bureaucrat Nripendra Mishra, who was the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister for more than five years, was made the chairman of the Shri Ram Temple Construction Committee. Apart from this, Gopal Rao, who is involved in the trust, has already been controversial. He said that people coming from RSS background including Champat Rai, Anil Mishra were given posts in the trust. Now the government has constituted a SIT in this matter and accepted that there has been a huge disturbance.
State Congress President Ajay Rai said that earlier the people of BJP-RSS collected a lot of money in the name of Shilapujan in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, for which there is no account. Citing the news, he said that this is a theft of more than Rs 1400 crore. He further said that the lands which were of low value at the time of land acquisition were sold to the Trust at a higher price.
He gave the example that a land worth Rs 2 crore was sold to the trust for Rs 18.5 crore, but no investigation was done. He said that today looting of offerings worth about Rs 200 crore is visible. Ajay Rai said that the money donated by the mothers and sisters of the country was also looted. Former BJP MPs themselves are admitting this organized loot and saying that if they take names, big people will get trapped.
At the same time, Aradhana Mishra also made a sharp attack and said that BJP has committed a big betrayal with those who believe in Sanatan and Lord Shri Ram. Making a series of allegations of corruption, Aradhana Mishra said that at the time of land acquisition for the temple, the family members of the local mayor bought the land at throwaway prices and sold it to the trust for crores of rupees. He said that the army land around the temple was denotified and handed over to big industrialists.
He reminded that during the construction of the temple, in the very first rain, the main road built at a cost of crores caved in and water started dripping from the roof of the sanctum sanctorum. He also told that about 1250 very valuable historical Shri Ram stones have also gone missing from the premises. He asked whether this is not a trick on the Sanatanis? He said that strictest action should be taken against those found guilty in the investigation of the entire scam.
