PM Modi meets CEOs of companies in Paris, focus on promoting innovation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met top officials of several companies and discussed investment opportunities and expansion plans in India. The Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) who met the Prime Minister belong to companies from different sectors. These include sustainable construction, transportation and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors. During his visit to France, Prime Minister Modi participated in the G-7 summit in the last two days and interacted with several world leaders including US President Donald Trump.

The Ministry of External Affairs said in a social media post that the Prime Minister met Benoit Bazin, Chairman and CEO of Saint-Gobain. During this, opportunities in the construction materials sector were discussed, in which special emphasis was given on sustainability.

The ministry said that Bazin has shared its plans to increase investment and expansion in India. Prime Minister Modi also met Alstom CEO Martin Zion and discussed opportunities related to transport and rail modernisation.

The Ministry of External Affairs said the Prime Minister noted Alstom's significant investments and manufacturing presence in India, which are contributing to employment generation and the development of the country's rail sector.

PM meets Mistral AI co-founder

Zion shared its future expansion and investment plans in India. After this, Prime Minister Modi also met Arthur Mensch, Co-Founder and CEO of Mistral AI and highlighted the opportunities in India's rapidly growing Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Mensch expressed keen interest in cooperation with India and expressed his desire to promote innovation and expand AI capabilities by partnering with Indian companies.

PM's meeting with President Trump

Earlier, PM Modi met US President Donald Trump during the G7 summit in Evian. This important meeting caught the attention of the world. The two big world leaders met after about 16 months. During this, both the leaders emphasized on giving new momentum to India-America relations. President Trump described PM Modi as his long-time friend and praised him as a tough negotiator and an excellent leader.
