You may have spent years using a smartphone, but are you aware that mobile data or WiFi running on your phone drains the battery faster? Many people may know the correct answer to this question but still many people do not know the correct answer to this question.

Who eats phone battery faster?

When your phone is on mobile data (4G and 5G) compared to Wi-Fi, your phone's battery drains faster. There is a reason behind this which you should know and that reason is the distance of the signal.

Signal Distance: The tower of the telecom company is located far away from you, the signal coming from far away Phone It takes more effort to catch. If you work too hard, the phone's battery starts draining rapidly. Many times the signals are weak, especially when you and I are in a lift or a basement. In this case the phone has to work harder to catch the tower coming from the phone. Apart from this, sometimes when the network is switching between 4G and 5G, this switch affects the phone's battery.

On the contrary, if we talk about Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi is installed at your home or office location and you are very close to the Wi-Fi, due to which it becomes easier for your handset to catch the signal coming from Wi-Fi, due to which the phone has to work less. This is the main reason why your phone consumes less battery on Wi-Fi and when the phone is connected to mobile data, the battery consumption starts increasing rapidly.
