UAE Defense Plan: Amidst the changing situation and increasing security threats in the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is preparing to further strengthen its military strength. For this, he is keeping an eye on some of the world's most modern defense technologies. On one hand UAE is in talks to buy India's supersonic cruise missile BrahMos, while on the other hand it is also showing interest in France's most advanced fighter aircraft Rafale F5 programme. Both these steps are being considered a part of UAE's long strategy, through which it wants to make its army more powerful than before.
In fact, the threat of drone and missile attacks has increased in the Gulf region in the last few years. In such a situation, UAE is emphasizing on strengthening its air and missile defense capability. This is the reason why it does not want to be limited to just buying weapons, but also wants participation in future defense technologies. The ongoing talks with India regarding BrahMos missile and its interest in France's Rafale F5 program are considered to be major steps taken in this direction.
According to the report of Reuters, a source having knowledge of the talks happening between India and UAE has said that initial phase of talks are going on between India and UAE regarding BrahMos missile and it is progressing rapidly. However, India will be able to sell BrahMos missile to UAE only if Russia approves it. The reason for this is that the BrahMos missile with a range of 290 kilometers has been developed jointly by India and Russia. However, considering the good relations between Moscow and Abu Dhabi, it is being said that there will be no problem in getting this approval.

France and UAE are exploring possibilities of working together on future fighter aircraft and new military technologies. According to the report, UAE is showing interest in France's Rafale F5 fighter jet program. Rafale F5 will be the next generation version of the Rafale fighter aircraft, which will have more modern radar, better electronic systems and capabilities like working together with drones. BrahMos is one of the world's fastest supersonic cruise missiles built in collaboration between India and Russia. Its specialty is that it can reach its target at very high speed and it is not easy for the enemy to stop it. It can be fired from land, sea and air. It is believed that if UAE gets BrahMos, its naval and military strength will increase significantly. India has already moved towards selling defense equipment to many countries. After exporting BrahMos missile to the Philippines, now talks with UAE are also considered very important.
Rafale F5 will be a new and more modern version of France's famous Rafale fighter aircraft. In this, better radar, more modern electronic systems and new technologies will be used than before. Rafale F5 is being prepared in such a way that in the future, it can work together with hypersonic weapons, Artificial Intelligence (AI) based systems and pilotless combat drones. With this, this aircraft will become more powerful according to the needs of the coming decades. UAE has already purchased Rafale fighter aircraft from France. Now he also wants to participate in future programs like Rafale F5 so that he can benefit from new technologies.
Experts believe that if UAE joins this program, it will not only get modern fighter aircraft but will also get access to new military technologies. At the same time, France will get a strong economic and strategic partner for this expensive project. This kind of cooperation between India and France will strengthen the goal of UAE, under which it does not want to remain a country only buying arms from other countries. The UAE now wants to become a power that develops new technologies in the defense and aerospace sector and wants to ensure its important role in future military technologies.
