Renowned folk artist Darshan Mogulaiya (Kinnar Mogulaiya), honored with Padma Shri, one of the country's highest civilian awards, has expressed deep concern over not yet receiving the ownership rights of the land allotted by the government. To resolve the issue, he met District Collector C. Narayana Reddy at a public meeting held at the Rangareddy District Collectorate office and submitted a petition to him.

Darshan Mogulaiah was allotted a 600-yard residential plot in Kuntaluru village of Abdullahpur Mate mandal during the previous BRS government. Later he was succeeded by the present Chief Minister A. A copy of the related government order was also found in the hands of Revanth Reddy. However, Mogulaiya regretted that even after two years, the ownership rights of the land have not been handed over to him.

The land is stuck in dispute

In such a situation, artist Darshan Mogulaiya, who has received the country's biggest honour, is facing a lot of difficulties regarding his land. He is repeatedly visiting the authorities for land. He told that the land allotted to him is stuck in a court dispute. Due to which the problem has become even more complex.

Repaid loan of Rs 9 lakh

Darshan Mogulaiya said that till now he has to pay a debt of about Rs 9 lakh in the form of lawyers' fees and court expenses to resolve this case. He expressed concern over the problem not being resolved yet. He said that he visited several government offices including Ibrahimpatnam RDO office and Abdullahpur Mate Tehsildar office, but to no avail. He said that despite the change of many collectors in the last two years, their problem remains the same.

'Being treated badly because of being a Dalit'

Mogulaiya said that he is elderly and in the remaining few days of his life, he wants to take possession of the land and divide it among his four children. He told that due to not getting the ownership rights of the land, he is also facing insult from his family members. He alleges that the officials are treating him badly because he is from a Dalit family.

Darshan Mogulaiya met BRS Working President KTR and expressed his grievances. KTR assured them that the matter would be resolved after talking to the Collector. Mogulaiah clarified that if the problem is not resolved at the local level, he will directly meet Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and demand justice.
