Police investigation into theft of Ram temple offerings is progressing rapidly. After the FIR was registered, all eight accused were sent to jail. New revelations are continuously being made during the investigation. The name of Avinash Shukla is included among the main accused who is lodged in jail. It is being told that Avinash lived with his brother Abhishek in a reputed yoga center in Kaushalpuri.
It was Avinash's brother Abhishek who brought him to the yoga center. It is being told that on June 5, when the first episode of theft of offerings was revealed, on the same night the police raided the Yoga Center at the behest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. A huge amount of cash was recovered from here.
In the morning, when the seekers got information about this, Avinash's brother Abhishek, who was living there, got his residential block vacated and it was locked. Then Abhishek left from there. After Avinash went to jail, the police also took Abhishek to the yoga center two days ago and did an investigation.
Yogacharya Seema Tiwari says that this is not the work of one person, people from above may also be involved in it. He said that this incident has brought bad name to his yoga center. He told that Avinash had got the job in March. The police came on the 5th. During this time the room was searched, after which the police took Avinash away. He told that till that time the Center had no information about the scam in Ram Temple. He told that Avinash and Abhishek were thrown away from the Yoga Center as soon as their names came up in the theft. He told that a bag full of money for offerings to the Ram temple was found from his residence.
'He used to come sometimes for yoga' He said that Avinash never seemed to be aware of yoga. He told that he used to come for yoga only occasionally. He said that we had never thought that someone who had been so close to us for so long could do something like this. He said that if the crime is proved then he should be punished severely. He said that this case brought defamation to both the city and the centre. He said that if we had known, we would have thrown him out on the very first day. He said that this is Guruji's centre. All are seekers here.. this is not anyone's private property.
After getting permission from the court on Tuesday, the police team reached the district jail and interrogated Avinash Shukla extensively for about two hours. During interrogation, information was collected on many important points related to the use of stolen money, properties purchased with it, bank accounts and investments. Now the statement of the accused is being matched with documentary and digital evidence.
