Lock Up 2: TV actor Harshad Chopra is currently seen in the reality show Lockup. Till now the contestants have said many such things in this show, which are becoming the topic of discussion. Now the actor's name has also been included in it. Harshad has said something, after which he is being heavily criticized on social media. Actually, Harshad told his co-contestant Shreya Kalra that if a person is a little afraid of gay people, then he is called homophobic.
But this does not mean that he hates that community. A debate has erupted on social media just on this point. Some people are taking the actor's side while some are advising him not to talk like this.
After listening to Harshad, Shreya asked him, “Are you afraid of gay people?” Harshad started laughing at this. Then Shreya explained to him and said, "You think that every gay person will be interested in you, but it is not at all the case. In this way, you are looking at the entire community from the same perspective, which is not right."
As soon as the video of this conversation went viral on social media, the debate started. Many people accused Harshad Chopra of making homophobic remarks. Some users wrote that the actor is trying to justify his thinking. At the same time, some people defended him and said that his words were not being seen in their full context and only a part of the video had been made viral.
Earlier in the show, contestant Sufi Motiwala had also accused Varun Yadav of making homophobic comments. Sufi had said that his way of walking, sitting and speaking was repeatedly made fun of, which hurt him. Although Varun later apologized, Sufi said that just saying “sorry” does not make everything okay.
