Security agencies have received an important intelligence input during the Amarnath Yatra. According to the information, Pakistan-based terrorist handlers are planning to drop arms and ammunition through drones in Samba and Kathua sectors along the International Border (IB) of Jammu division. After this input, security agencies and forces deployed on the border have been put on high alert. According to sources, during the last two-three days, activities of many Pakistani terrorist handlers have been seen in Badala Gujran area of Sialkot district of Pakistan. It is believed that a plan was made in these meetings to deliver weapons to the Indian border.

Conspiracy to target Amarnath Yatra

Agencies fear that within the next two to three weeks, an attempt may be made to drop a consignment of weapons through drones in Samba and Kathua sectors. These weapons can be used as part of a conspiracy to reach the terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir and target the Amarnath Yatra.

Search operation in full swing

Following intelligence input, Border Security Force (BSF), Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies have intensified surveillance and search operations along the international border. Anti-drone technology, electronic surveillance and patrolling have also been increased so that any suspicious activity can be foiled in time.

Strict security arrangements in sensitive areas

Security agencies believe that during the Amarnath Yatra, terrorist organizations may try to spoil the atmosphere and spread panic. For this reason, security arrangements have been made more stringent than before in the travel routes, base camps and sensitive areas along the international border.

However, security agencies say that this intelligence input has been taken as a precautionary measure and all concerned forces have been instructed to remain alert, so that any terrorist plot can be foiled in time.

Amarnath Yatra 2026 will start from 3rd July and end on 28th August. This journey will last for 57 days. These dates have been taken from Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB). The journey usually ends on the day of Raksha Bandhan, when the sacred stick, 'Chadi Mubarak', reaches the cave.
