Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Naveen reached Jammu and Kashmir on his two-day visit on Monday. During this, Nitin attended the birth anniversary conference of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Jan Sangh, who sacrificed his life in Jammu and Kashmir for one legislation, one sign, one leader in Naveen Mishriwala area. Addressing a gathering here, he said that Jammu and Kashmir is a land of renunciation, sacrifice and bravery. The picture of this state has changed under the leadership of PM Modi. With this a new era of development and peace began.
He said that the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi always remain on this region and the Dogra heroes of Jammu have made the supreme sacrifice to protect the country. He paid tribute to all the martyred soldiers and war heroes of Jammu and Kashmir. Nitin Naveen said that the life of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee is a source of inspiration for crores of countrymen and lakhs of BJP workers. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir can never forget the sacrifice of Dr. Mukherjee. Giving credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that under his leadership the dream of “one legislation, one mark and one head” came true.
He also said that the foundation of the thinking like “Make in India” was laid by Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and he also played an important role in keeping West Bengal safe. BJP National President said that in the last few years, extensive changes have been seen in Jammu and Kashmir. Today the tricolor flutters proudly in the entire Jammu and Kashmir including Lal Chowk. He claimed that now the era of separatism, stone pelting and bandhs has ended and there is an atmosphere of peace and development in the state. He said that this change has become possible after the removal of Article 370 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that today the people of Jammu and Kashmir are moving forward in an environment of peace and progress and the entire country is also seeing the positive changes in the state. Praising the hard work of the workers, he said that BJP workers have struggled for a long time to restore respect and self-respect. Targeting Congress, Nitin Naveen alleged that Congress always did negative politics and supported anti-national elements. On the contrary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi supported the people of Jammu and Kashmir in every field and gave priority to development.
He said that earlier many sections of Jammu and Kashmir were deprived of development and their rights, but now the Central Government has worked to provide justice to all. The poor are being empowered through various public welfare schemes, the country's economy has strengthened and new employment opportunities are being created.
Nitin Naveen said that the Central Government has taken many effective steps to curb corruption. Roads are being constructed at a fast pace in the state, airports are being modernized and special attention is being given to the overall development of all areas. He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country's borders have become more secure than before and Jammu and Kashmir is moving on the new path of development.
Attacking the present government of Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP President alleged that the Omar Abdullah led government is adopting a discriminatory attitude towards Jammu. However, he said that BJP believes in equal development of all areas and all communities. He said that his party does not do politics of religion, but is committed to the welfare and equal progress of every citizen of Jammu, Kashmir and the entire state.
During this, Nitin Naveen said that BJP has done a lot of work in Jammu and Kashmir, but the party will still have to work harder to achieve its goals.
Talking to journalists, BJP National President Nitin Naveen said that today the country has got such a strong leadership, which has faced every challenge boldly. He said that whenever the country's security was threatened, the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to the enemies with "bricks and stones". He said that there has been a big change in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few years.
He said that there was a time when the identity of the youth here was linked to stone pelting, but today the same youth are showcasing their talent in the playgrounds and are making their mark as Ranji winners. He said that this change is the result of the environment of peace, security and development established in the state.
