Kantara Chapter 2: Kannada actor and director Rishabh Shetty is currently in the news for his upcoming projects. At present he has two big films in his account. On one hand, we have to work on Prashant Verma's 'Jai Hanuman'. On the other hand, he is also working on 'The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj'. The year 2025 was a great year for the actor, when 'Kantara Chapter 1' was released and the film got a tremendous response from the people. The film also did crores of business at the box office. At that time people thought that the story of Kantara had ended with the 2nd installment. But now fans have got a big update. Rishabh Shetty will also soon bring 'Kantara Chapter 2', the work of which has already started. He himself has confirmed this.
In conversation with Variety India Rishabh Shetty Confirmed 'Kantara Chapter 2'. Regarding the next installment, he says- "I have to do this. I cannot remain silent about my directorial work. When I do this work, I get peace of mind and happiness. I have a team of writers with me and we are already working on 'Kantara: Chapter 2'." Actually, apart from acting, both the parts of Kantara were directed by Rishabh Shetty himself.
Updates are often received regarding both Rishabh Shetty's films 'The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj' and 'Jai Hanuman'. Now the actor himself has talked about his films. He says- "My two films are coming one after the other. I cannot do many things at once nor can I do two films simultaneously. So first it will be 'Jai Hanuman' and after that 'The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj'. I will have to have different looks for both the films." Let us tell you that part one of Hanuman has come in 2024, now part 2 is coming. The actor will be in the role of Hanuman in this film.
Actually, Rishabh Shetty's blockbuster film 'Kantara' was released in theaters in 2022. This picture had earned a huge amount of around Rs 400 to 450 crores from all over the world. After which, last year i.e. in 2025, its Chapter 1 was brought, which was not a sequel but a prequel. And the worldwide collection of that picture was Rs 852 crore.
