Kozhikode MLA Scam: The issue of a fake call has become very heated in Kerala Congress. The cyber team of Kozhikode Police has started investigation into the fraud case involving Elathur MLA Vidya Balakrishnan. Actually, on July 6, MLA Vidya Balakrishnan received a call from an unknown number on WhatsApp. This call was made from New Delhi. The person calling asked for Rs 3 crore from the MLA.

The person making the call claimed that there is going to be a change in the cabinet of Kerala government soon. If she gives Rs 3 crore, he will make her a minister in the government. The fraudster had the entire conversation with the MLA in English. He revealed his name as 'Rajkumar' and falsely claimed that he worked in the office of Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi.

The MLA became suspicious of this call and lodged a complaint with the police. After this, the Cyber ​​Cell Police of Kozhikode has started investigating this high-profile case so that the accused can be caught.

MLA became suspicious during 10 minute conversation

According to the MLA, the fraudster lured him and said that if he was ready to pay Rs 3 crore, he could get a very good opportunity to become a minister. To prove his point, the caller took the name of a senior MP from Kozhikode and said that the same MP had given him the phone number of the MLA. During the conversation of about 10 minutes, the MLA became suspicious. Still he continued talking slyly. As soon as the call ended, he contacted the same MP whose name the fraudster had taken.

Who called from Delhi in the name of Priyanka Gandhi?

The MP said that recently someone claiming to be from the Congress headquarters had asked him for the phone numbers of two MLAs of the district. It became clear that this was a fraud. Both the leaders immediately contacted the Congress Party headquarters and Priyanka Gandhi's office. From there it was confirmed that no such call or information was sent. MLA Vidya Balakrishnan lodged an official complaint with the cyber cell on July 11. Initial investigation revealed that this fake call was made from New Delhi. But it is not known who made this call.
