Twitter The updated application is now available worldwide through the Google Play Store and features improvements to speed, scrolling, notifications, and overall reliability.
According to the company, the Android app has been developed from the ground up instead of being updated gradually. X का कहना है कि नए आर्किटेक्चर का मकसद लंबे समय से चली आ रही परफ़ॉर्मेंस की समस्याओं को ठीक करना है, साथ ही भविष्य में नए फ़ीचर लाना आसान बनाना है.
Efforts to rebuild the Android app began last year when X recognized that the Android version was lagging behind the iOS version. The company later created a dedicated Android engineering team to redesign the application and improve the overall user experience.
Nikita Bier, product head of X, has described this project as one of the largest engineering initiatives undertaken by the company. He said that the redesigned app provides smoother navigation, faster loading time and better responsiveness.
The change comes after Android users continued to face issues last year, including slow performance and, in some cases, issues loading posts from shared links.
Although the rebuilt app is now available, X says some work is still in progress. The company is planning to further improve performance on older Android smartphones and add support for its live audio feature Spaces. Many more features are also expected to come to Android in the upcoming update, including a new video editor, video reaction, cashtag and custom timeline, which is already a part of the company's larger product roadmap.
