Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Amroha has taken cognizance of the matter amid discussions that the youngest sister in this marriage was a minor subject of constant discussion on social media. The committee has issued a notice to Hasanpur police station and given strict instructions to submit a detailed investigation report of the entire case within three days.
CWC Amroha had received information that one of the three sisters, Chhavi alias Santosh, resident of Dhoria village of Hasanpur, is probably a minor. The committee has sent a letter to the police saying that if this fact is found to be true, then this case will be a direct violation of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and other laws related to child marriage. On this basis, a report has been sought from the police within three working days.
'Low height does not mean being a minor' - sisters clarified
In the video that went viral on social media after the marriage, the three sisters and their husbands have made many claims defending their decision. Elder sister Alka told that her father had fixed the marriage of her elder sister with a government employed boy, but the three sisters did not want to separate from each other. He tried hard to get three brothers in the same family, but it was not possible.
The sisters eventually decide to marry their cameraman Vikas. Rejecting the allegations of marrying for views, she said that her Instagram page ('Rajput Girl') already has lakhs of followers and views in millions.
