In view of the increasing demand for electric two-wheelers in the Indian market, Ather Energy has officially launched its new electric scooter Ather Konarc. The company has specially designed this model keeping the family segment in mind. With a claimed range of 161 km and a starting price of Rs 1 lakh, this scooter will directly compete with other conventional and electric family scooters in the market.
The base variant ‘S’ of Ather Konarc has a battery pack of 3.5 kWh capacity. The company claims that this battery is capable of giving a range of up to 161 kilometers in a single charge.
Talking about performance, the electric motor in it generates maximum power of 4.7 kW and peak torque of 16 Nm. To ease the charging time, it can be fully charged in 5.40 hours with a 450W home charger. Apart from this, with the help of Ather Grid fast charging network, an additional range of 15 kilometers can be achieved in just 10 minutes of charging.
Keeping in mind the needs of family riders, the scooter has a balance of space and modern technology. For daily use, it has 31 liters of under-seat boot space and 2 liters of additional storage in the front profile.
The company has fixed the starting ex-showroom price of Ather Konarc at ₹ 1,00,000 (Rs one lakh). This price is for its base S variant. The delivery of the scooter will start soon through authorized Ather Experience Centers across the country.
