Nainital Milk Union President and former BJP leader Mukesh Bora, who was accused of raping a widow, was finally caught by the police after 24 days of hard work. A case was registered against Mukesh about 23 days ago in Lalkuan police station of Nainital district, since then several police teams were busy searching for the accused, but no trace of him could be found.

The police were investigating the accused everywhere, meanwhile they got the news that the accused was planning to meet his lawyer. The police surveillance team showed promptness and caught Bora on the basis of location. Police said that former BJP leader Bora had left the state limits only after September 1. For the first time, he was hiding in different cities of Haryana, Faridabad, Noida, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

BJP expelled

After the case was registered against Mukesh Bora, BJP expelled him from the party. In search of Bora, a team of 20 policemen and officers had to scour many cities of UP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Those who conducted surveillance, call trace and subsequent arrests included one Additional SP, one CO, two inspectors, seven sub-inspectors, seven constables and two head constables. Nainital Police had to travel a total of 5,179 kilometers in search of Bora, accused of raping a widow and molesting her daughter.

Police arrested

Had to run for about 800 kilometers within the state border. The police was fully active in this case in every way and after surveillance and interrogation, they succeeded in arresting Bora. On September 13, when the High Court gave him arresting stay, he returned. After this, after 16th September, he managed to escape again. After this he ran away to Bhimtal in Nainital, then reached UP, Delhi, MP and Jaipur in Rajasthan. Mukesh harassed the police and made them run to almost five states in his search. SSP has announced a reward of Rs 2,500 for the police team that arrests Bora.
