Bengaluru: The Siddaramaiah government of Karnataka has decided to withdraw the notification allowing the CBI investigation team to conduct an open investigation. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Siddaramaiah on Thursday. After the verdict, Minister HK Patil said that the CBI can investigate independently under the Prevention of Corruption Act. He said that earlier the government had given permission for an open investigation.State Law Minister HK Patil said there was an open opportunity to investigate criminal cases in the state under the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946. But now it has been decided to withdraw the notification of open investigation by CBI.
