The adoration for Virat Kohli is undoubtedly boundless. Following a warm reception at the Kanpur airport, when Virat graciously declined a staff member’s offer to shake hands, the renowned batsman received yet another kind act from a supporter.

In Kanpur, Kohli received a warm welcome before the second Test. In one instance, which was seen on video, Virat was given a handshake but was unable to accept it since he was using both hands for other purposes.

When Virat Kohli emerged to warm up on Friday morning before the toss, a groundstaff member took off the covers to touch the Indian great’s feet in a similar extravagant gesture. A video of the event went viral on social media, showing the fan stroking Kohli’s feet. Because of his humility, Kohli attempted to stop the fan.

Because of the sloppy outfield and overnight rain, the second test started later than planned. One of the children finally jumped at the opportunity to touch Virat Kohli’s foot as the ground crew lifted the covers.

The great hitter headed out to resume his warm-up routines when another child approached and pulled him away. With the weather cloudy in Kanpur, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first.
