The Aadhaar Card is an important document in today's time. Along with adults, children also need an Aadhaar card at many places. In the year 2018, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) started the facility of Aadhaar for children. This Aadhaar is made for children below 5 years of age. The color of this Aadhaar card is blue, so it is also called Blue Aadhaar. Earlier, a birth certificate was required to get this Aadhaar card, but now the process of getting it has been made easier. Now the Aadhaar card application of children will be done with the discharge slip or birth certificate along with the Aadhaar card of either of the parents. You can make this Aadhaar card even without a birth certificate while sitting at home.

Updating after 5 years is necessary.
Blue Aadhaar is slightly different from the Aadhaar card of adults. To get Blue Aadhaar, the child's iris, and fingerprint scan are not required. To verify this Aadhaar card, one of the parents has to show his Aadhaar card. Baal Aadhaar card also has a 12-digit unique identification number and comes in a blue shade. However, when the child becomes more than 5 years old, the parents should get it updated because after that it becomes invalid. After the age of 5, the child's biometric details (child's photograph, fingerprint iris scan, etc.) have to be updated.
