After India's neighboring country Bangladesh, now an incident of vandalism in a temple came to light in America, due to which anger was once again seen among the people of India. This incident took place in BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Sacramento, San Francisco, California. The temple was vandalized on the night of 24 September.

During this time, many anti-Hindu slogans were also heard there. The people of India are strongly condemning this incident, and there is also a demand for an investigation into this matter. Due to this, the Consulate General of India in San Francisco said that they are investigating this matter along with the local authorities.


Earlier, a similar incident had occurred in the BAPS temple in Melville, New York, after which 10 days later, the temple was vandalized once again. This time, the temple in California was vandalized. About 2 percent of the population in California is Hindu. Such activities happening in the name of religion and caste all over the world are becoming a matter of great concern.

Loud sloganeering was done

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, California was vandalized and anti-Hindu slogans were being raised, such as 'Hindu go back' or 'Hindu go back'. The Consulate General of India (CGI) said in a statement on the social media platform X that the Consulate General of India strongly condemns this incident. He also said that the matter is being taken up with the local authorities so that the matter can be investigated and the culprits can be punished.

Earlier, a similar incident took place at the BAPS temple in Melville, New York on 17 September 2024. This incident happened just 17 days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's US visit. Earlier, in July, there was news of vandalism at the BAPS temple in Edmonton, Canada. After all these incidents, the people of the Hindu community living there are very worried and there is an atmosphere of fear among them.
