PM-Kisan 18th installment: Great news for millions of farmers across the country as the Central government has announced the date on which the beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Yojana will receive the 18th installment of the scheme in their bank accounts. As per the official PM Kisan website the 18th installment of the scheme will be transferred to the bank accounts of eligible farmers on October 5 2024. PM Kisan scheme requirements Farmers who have registered for the PM Kisan Yojana must complete their e-KYC which is mandatory for availing the benefits of the scheme. The rules of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana mandate that only those farmers who have completed their e-KYC and their land verification requirements will be granted the benefits of the scheme. How to complete KYC for PM-Kisan? Visit the official website of PM Kisan (https://pmkisan.gov.in/) Click “Farmers Corner” Click “e-KYC”. Enter your Aadhaar number and click “Get OTP”. Enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number and hit submit. What is the PM Kisan Yojana? PM-Kisan Yojana is a central government scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February to provide financial aid to land-holding farmers. Under the scheme eligible farmers are given Rs 6000 per year transferred in three installments of Rs 2000 each on a periodic basis. The 17th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme was released earlier in June this year. The PM-Kisan scheme one of the largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes in the world transfers the benefits directly into the bank accounts of registered farmers across the country via DBT mode. PM-Kisan scheme; Who is eligible for benefits? As per the rules of the PM-Kisan Yojana land-holding farmers and their families who own cultivable land are eligible for benefits of the scheme. Additionally small and marginal farmers who own up to 2 hectares of land can also register under PM-Kisan and avail benefits of the scheme. The Narendra Modi government has asserted that a farmer-centric digital infrastructure has ensured the benefits of the scheme reach all the farmers across the country without any involvement of the intermediaries.
