A notice has been issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding the CCTV policy for board examinations. The board has asked all schools to have CCTV facilities in their classrooms for the smooth conduct of class 10th and 12th board examinations next year i.e. in 2025. The official notice has been released on the official website.

According to the information shared by the board, about 44 lakh students are expected to appear in the CBSE Board Examination 2025 this year. About 8,000 schools will be made examination centers for such a large number of examinees.

What was said in the notice?

The official notice reads, 'The board has decided that all schools to be made examination centers should have closed circuit television (CCTV) facility. If a school does not have a CCTV facility, that school will not be considered for the examination center.'

'CCTV policy has been developed by CBSE to conduct the examinations smoothly and fairly, which is enclosed herewith. It states that all schools are directed to ensure that if they do not have CCTV and they want to give their consent to the board to make their school an examination center, they should install CCTV in their schools as per their policy.'

When will the 2025 board exams be held?

As per the pattern of previous years, the board will start the class 10th and 12th board exams in mid-February 2025. However, earlier this year in May 2024, news agency PTI had informed through its social media platform, X that the class 10th and 12th exams are expected to start from February 15. However, the detailed CBSE Board Exam 2024-25 timetable has not been released by CBSE yet. Students are advised to keep a check on the official website for the latest updates.
