The last three months of the current calendar year are left. These three months are full of festivals. In such a situation, there are many types of holidays. Many types of work are closed during these holidays. Something similar happens with the stock market. There are many holidays from Gandhi Jayanti to Christmas, due to which the stock markets will also remain closed. Meanwhile, according to the BSE holiday calendar, there will be no trading not only in the stock market but also in the equity derivatives and SLB segments in these three months. Let us also tell you when the stock market will remain closed in these three months.

When will the stock markets be closed?

According to BSE Holiday Calendar List 2024, stock markets will remain closed on Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti i.e. 2nd October. We are not talking about Saturday and Sunday here. After that, there will be no trading in the stock market on 1st November on the occasion of Diwali. Stock markets will remain closed on 15th November also on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. After that, the stock markets will remain closed on the occasion of Christmas i.e. 25th December. There will also be a special Muhurat trading session on Diwali in 2024, which will be held on Friday, November 1. Its timing information has not been given yet.

Stock market near 86 thousand

At present the stock market is trading at record levels. Experts believe that by the end of the year the Sensex can cross the level of 90 thousand points. Although the stock market may have closed with a decline on Friday, the Sensex had reached a life time high of 85978.25 points during the trading session. By the time the market closed, it had fallen by 264.27 points and ended at 85,571.85 points. On the other hand, the main index of National Stock Exchange Nifty fell by 37 points and closed at 26,178.95 points.

MCX will also remain closed on these dates

If we talk about multi commodity exchange, it runs in two sessions. The first session runs from 9 am to 5 pm and the second session runs from 5 pm to 11.30 pm. If we talk about October 2, MCX will remain closed for both the sessions. The morning session will remain closed on Diwali, 1st November. There will be no work in the morning session on MCX on Guru Nanak Jayanti on 15th November. Whereas on Christmas i.e. 25th December, both MCX sessions will remain closed.
