MP Board's New Rule for Students Choosing Basic Maths In Class 10th: MP Board 10th, and 12th examinations will start in February. MP Board Class 10th examinations from February 27 while MP Board Class 12th examinations from February 25. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has issued an important notification regarding MP Board Class 10th. The board said in the notification that students who choose Basic Mathematics in MP Board Class 10th and wish to continue studying Mathematics in Class 11th will now have to take a supplementary examination. Students will not only have to take the MP Board supplementary examination but also pass it.

According to the notification, students who opt for Basic Mathematics in the MP Board Class 10th examination and those who take Mathematics in Class 11th will have to pass the supplementary examination. Not only this, students will also have to choose the subject of Standard Mathematics to continue their studies. The board has informed that students will have the option to choose Basic Mathematics and Standard Mathematics in class 9th for the 2024-25 academic session and in class 10th for the 2025-26 academic session.

The official notice states, "Students who opt for Basic Mathematics in class 10th high school examination and want to continue studying Mathematics in class 11th will have to pass the supplementary examination by choosing Standard Mathematics to continue their studies."

Let us tell you that in the MP Board, Basic Mathematics can also be taken by students choosing other streams apart from Mathematics, while Standard Mathematics can be taken only by those students who want to study engineering and other science streams. Mathematics is a compulsory subject for such students.

Basic mathematics is for those students who take streams other than math, while standard mathematics is for those students who want to make their career in engineering and other science and commerce streams. The syllabus of both mathematics subjects is almost the same, but the main difference is in the difficulty level.

MP Board Exam in February

This time MPBSE has announced the dates of MP Board Class 10th, and 12th Board Exam 2025 almost six months in advance. MP Board 10th and 12th examinations will be held in February 2025. MP Board Class 10th examinations will start on 27 February and will run till 19 March 2025. At the same time, MP Board Class 12th examinations will be held from 25 February to 25 March 2025.
