The Lawrence Bishnoi Group and other gangsters active in Delhi-NCR and other places and their henchmen were found using the Armenian application Zangi to communicate with each other. A few months ago, Delhi Police arrested two shooters of gangster Himanshu Bhau and during the investigation, the police came to know that they were communicating on the Zangi app.

Why do gangsters like Zangi?

According to the Times of India report, the police say that due to the untraceable network of the app, it becomes difficult to track the gangsters and find out their whereabouts. Gangsters like this app because this app allows using the app without a mobile number and email ID.

To use app, this app gives the users their own 10-digit number, through which criminals are able to communicate with their associates without revealing their mobile numbers. In this app, only the generated number is visible on the user's screen.

According to the information on the company's site, the user's number is not taken to use the app so that no one can monitor the user and users get complete protection from account hacking.

How does Zangi work?

The cyber cell official said that as soon as a message is sent in this mobile app, that message reaches the target through the app's server. As soon as the message is delivered, your secret message is automatically deleted from the app's server, which is why the message cannot be tracked. Because of this encryption, only the sender and receiver of the message can access the messages, audio and video calls.

Scammers also use it

Apart from gangsters, online scammers are also using this app on a large scale. Last year, on the recommendation of security and intelligence agencies, the central government banned 14 mobile messaging applications, including Zangi, which were allegedly being used by terrorist groups for communication.
