Marcus Rashford is in talks with a new agency as he plots his next move at .

The forward's future remains unclear after several games where he was overlooked by Ruben Amorim, before being welcomed back into the matchday squad for the loss against . Prior to that he'd spent four games out in the cold.

The January transfer window presents Rashford with a chance to potentially seek pastures new. The academy graduate has struggled over the past 18 months since hitting his only 30-goal campaign and, off the pitch, the 27-year-old looks to be making some changes to his set-up.

Rashford is in talks with leading sports agency Stellar ahead of what could be a crucial month, reports . He is currently represented by brother Dwaine Maynard but he wants to get more people working on his next move. Stellar famously negotiated Gareth Bale’s huge £86m move to in 2013.

The United star admitted he was "ready for a new challenge" last month when he was being overlooked. He said: “If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”

Securing a mid-season exit could prove challenging for Rashford with United potentially not getting the fee they want. It could leave the player waiting until the summer should he pursue an exit - with his hefty wages another issue for any buyer.

Those within the game have suggested that Rashford would benefit from a new environment. He's endured huge peaks and troughs whilst in the red of United but is not producing consistently and had lost his place with England, failing to go to the Euros.

Rashford was named on the bench in United's final game of 2024 but was left to watch on as the hosts were hammered by Newcastle. Amorim made four subs but never chose to introduce Rashford. He was quizzed on whether including the player but leaving him on the bench was a way of sending a message, but he laughed off that suggestion.

He said: "I think about the team, you think a lot about Marcus. I think about the team. I am not making a point, I just want to win the games. And you can feel it, I am talking about the idea and the fight for relegation. I want to make a point during the game? No, I just want to win the game."
