What will happen if you travel without a ticket?

If you want to travel by train, then avoid traveling without a ticket. If you do this, you can be fined. According to the rules of Indian Railways, if a person is caught travelling without a ticket, a fine of Rs 250 is imposed on him.

While on one hand a fine is imposed, on the other hand, the full fare is charged from the point where the train started to the point where you have to travel. If you have to go somewhere suddenly, you can board the train by taking a platform ticket and then immediately meet the TTE and get your ticket made including the fine. At the same time, if there is an empty seat in the train, you can ask for it from the TTE.

If the TTE asks for more money, you can complain

If the TTE asks for more money than the fixed amount while taking the fine or making the ticket, you can complain about it. For this, you can call the railway security helpline number 155210 and register your complaint.
