A mysterious disease is killing people in a village in Jammu and Kashmir since last December 7. So far 17 people have died due to this disease. There is such fear due to this disease in Badhal village of Rajouri that CM Abdullah had to visit there. Teams have been sent from the centre. Like the Corona period, the entire village has become a containment zone. The question is whether this is a virus like Corona, which has spread in Badhal village? Or is this issue related to poisonous food and drink, due to which people are dying?
So far, 17 people from three families have lost their lives due to the mysterious disease in Badhal village, out of which 12 are children. 5 people are still struggling with this disease. Out of these, three real sisters were airlifted by Air Force helicopter and taken to the hospital in Jammu. Neither the name nor the cause of this disease is officially known yet, but the situation is getting worse with each passing day. Therefore, the entire village has been quarantined.
In this disease, there have been cases of high fever, diarrhea and then death of the patient after unconsciousness. The villagers are very scared of this. The administration is trying its best to stop this disease from spreading. Therefore the village has been divided into three containment zones. The first containment zone covers those houses in which deaths are occurring. These houses have been sealed and there is a ban on people going out.
In the second containment zone, those people have been kept who have come in contact with people affected by the mysterious disease. The number of such people is around 60 and they have been kept in the Government Medical College. In the third zone, all the families of the village are included, the responsibility of providing food and drink to all the families is on the medical staff.
Now the question is, is this disease going to spread like a virus? So the answer from the health officer is 'no' at the moment. The team sent by the Central Government is also busy in finding out the reason. Use of any pesticide can be the cause of this disease. More than 200 food items have been sent for testing. Health experts believe that all the symptoms of the disease were related to the central nervous system. Neurotoxins generally damage the brain and nervous system.
It is worth noting that when the water of the village pond was tested, it was found to contain pesticides. After this the pond was sealed. However, till now it has not been confirmed whether the poisonous water of the pond is the reason behind this disease or there is some other reason behind it. Today Union Minister Jitendra Singh has also given a statement on this mysterious disease of Rajouri. He has refused to consider this disease as any kind of virus and has said that some 'unknown poison' could be the reason for these deaths.
