A saying is prevalent in Hinduism - no predictions can be made about birth, death and marriage. It is believed that the relationship between husband and wife is determined by God and it lasts for seven births. But this question always remains that who will die before the husband and wife and who will remain alone?

A folklore on this subject states that it can be calculated on the basis of name. According to the legend:

• In the alphabet, two times digits, ten qualities and names joint names, 3 to Hari, Aan Mara-child life.
• If the result is zero, the husband will die first, and if there are two, the wife will die first.

Understand from the example:

If the husband's name is God, which has 4 letters, and the wife's name is moon, which has 2 letters, then the total letters are 6.
According to this calculation:

1. On connecting the letters of both: 6 + 6 = 12
2. Multiplying the number of letters: 2 + 4 = 8
3. Doubling: 12 + 8 = 20
4. Participating by 3: 20/3 = quotient 6, balance 2

When the remainder is 2, the wife will die first according to the folklore.

Folklore is a part of society's beliefs and traditions, but should not be taken as literal truth. It is not rational to connect life death with only a calculation, person or supernatural power. It completely depends on luck, deeds and circumstances.
