Delhi Women to Receive First Rs2,500 Installment on March 8 – Required Documents & Details
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had promised financial aid of ₹2,500 per month to women in Delhi as part of its election manifesto. Now that the party has returned to power after 27 years, many women are eagerly awaiting the implementation of this scheme. Delhi’s newly appointed Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, has announced when the first installment will be distributed.
As part of its election commitments, the BJP introduced the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, under which eligible women from economically weaker sections will receive ₹2,500 per month as financial assistance. The Delhi government is currently working on finalizing the terms and conditions before launching the registration process for the scheme.
The BJP secured victory in 48 out of 70 assembly seats in Delhi. Following the formation of the new government, CM Rekha Gupta assured that all promises made during the election campaign, including financial assistance for women, will be fulfilled. The first installment of ₹2,500 will be credited directly to eligible beneficiaries' bank accounts by March 8, aligning with International Women’s Day—a symbolic move to empower women in the capital.
