Meena Mahapanchayat: In Karauli, on January 18, the groom's brother's moustache and hair were cut off when he went to perform the baby shower. A Mahapanchayat was held on January 27 and a fine of Rs 11 lakh was imposed on the girl's side.

Meena Mahapanchayat: Meena Mahapanchayat boycotted Rossi village for not paying the fine for cutting the hair and moustache of the groom's younger brother who had gone for a baby shower in Rossi village of Nadauti police station area of ​​Karauli. Mahapanchayat was held in Bhairav ​​Baba wrestling arena ground of Kariri village on 27 January. People of the girl's side of Rossi village were held guilty and a fine of 11 lakh was imposed on those who cut the moustache and hair. One month's time was given to pay the fine amount. 

Panchayat was held for not depositing the fine amount 

When the fine amount was not paid to the 41-member committee, a panchayat was held on Monday (24 February). The Panchas saw the report sent to Rossi village for investigation. They gave full details of the incident. After this, a decision was taken to expel the entire village from the society. In the meeting, a fine of Rs 2 lakh imposed on two middlemen was handed over to the chairman. A new Mahapanchayat will have to be called to reintroduce Rossi village into the society.  

The groom's brother and sister disliked the girl 

On 18th January, there was a ceremony of Godhbharai at the girl's house in Karauli's Rossi village. Shortly before the ceremony started, the boy's brother and sister disliked the girl and refused to get engaged. They alleged that the girl with whom the marriage was fixed was not there. They were getting him engaged to another girl. The people of the girl's side held him hostage. 

The groom's brother's hair and moustache were cut 

The groom's father, uncle and younger brother were forcibly stopped. Panch-Patels were called and told to settle the matter. The people of the girl's side considered this an insult and held the boy's side hostage. After that, the groom's brother was beaten up and his moustache and hair were cut. 

A grand meeting of the Meena community was held on 27 January 

A Maha Panchayat of Meena Samaj was held in Karauli on 27th January. More than 10 thousand men and women including Panch Patels participated in it. In the Maha Panchayat, a ban on the traditions and evils of Meena Samaj was discussed. During this, the incident that happened during the engagement in Rossi village was discussed. Todabhim MLA Ghanshyam Mahar appealed to the people who came to the Maha Panchayat to take a historic decision. 

Demanded to call the girl's side in Mahapanchayat 

In the Mahapanchayat, statements of Naresh Meena and Meena middleman and other persons from the boy's side were recorded in the case of the incident of Rossi village. On this, the Panch Patels demanded to call the girl's side as well, but no one from the girl's side was present. After this, unanimously a committee of 41 members was formed and asked to hold a separate meeting and take a decision after discussion. The Meena Mahapanchayat deciding committee decided to cancel the fine of Rs 11 lakh imposed on the boy's side in the panchayat held at the girl's side's house.

Two middlemen fined

Along with this, the Panchayat has imposed a fine of 11 lakh rupees on the girl's side of Rossi village, which has been given time to pay in one month. A fine of 1 lakh rupees each has been imposed on both the middlemen who arranged the marriage. The 5 people who gave the decision in the Panchayat held at the girl's house have been fined 1100 rupees each and have been boycotted from the society for 5 years. They will not be able to participate in the Panchayat of the society for 5 years.
