Cancer by eating idli! FSSAI engaged in investigation after experts claim

There is shocking news for food enthusiasts in Bengaluru. Especially the customers who enjoy Idli by going to hotels will now have to be very careful. The reason for this is the fact found in the test conducted by the Food Department. The investigation by the Food Department has confirmed that the idli to be prepared in many hotels in Bengaluru is unsafe. The Food Department had sampled idli from different parts of Bengaluru and sent them to the lab and got them tested.

According to the lab report, more than 35 idli samples are unsafe. Plastic covers are being used in place of cloth to make idli in many places in Bengaluru. Plastic is not only being used in making idli, but also being served and packaging. The plastic sheet emits harmful substances when exposed to heat. Experts warned that it is carcinogenic.

Plastic paper will be banned

Following the warnings of experts, the Food Department has collected idli samples from many places in Bangalore. The Food and Standards Department collected more than 500 idli samples from different parts of Bengaluru, out of which more than 35 idli samples were found to be unsafe. However, some samples are still waiting. The Food Department is considering banning plastic paper after receiving the full report.

Cabbage Manchurian, Gol Gappa has also been banned

Earlier, the Food Department of Karnataka had expressed concern about the quality of Gol Gappa. In the state, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) took samples of Panipuri from 260 places, out of which 41 samples found fake colors and cancer -causing elements. Apart from this, the Food Department had taken action against cabbage Manchurian, and other fast food and said that they could have cancer due to the use of chemicals and artificial colors. After the report came, the government banned the food color named Rodamine-B.
