In Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, a married woman has filed a case against her husband accusing him of giving her triple talaq and marrying another woman. The woman alleges that her husband gave her triple talaq three times in three days, breaking their 20-year-old marriage. Then he ran away with her sister, i.e. his sister-in-law. Both of them got married again and returned home. As soon as the woman protested against this, she was thrown out of the house.

The case is from Kurud area. A woman named Arifa Khatoon filed an FIR against her husband Ashraf Ali and her in-laws. She said- Sir, it has been 20 years since my marriage, but my husband gave me triple talaq on 6th, 15th and 16th February and married his sister-in-law. They were having an affair for 3-4 years. I tried to convince him a lot, but he did not listen. He eloped with my sister and returned home after marrying her. Then he beat me up and threw me out of the house. This is the whole case

According to the victim, Ashraf had a love marriage with his sister-in-law Ayesha Khatoon in February 2025. This led to a dispute between Arifa Khatoon and her husband Ashraf. Several social meetings were held regarding their dispute, but the problem could not be resolved. The victim told the police station that her husband had abandoned her by giving her triple talaq. When she called a meeting in the society and demanded justice, Ashraf threatened her several times. Ashraf said that the matter should not be blown out of proportion by calling a meeting in the society.

Younger sister also got FIR registered

At the same time, Ayesha Khatoon has also filed an FIR against her elder sister Arifa Khatoon. Ayesha Khatoon said that Arifa Khatoon has threatened to kill her. She has also beaten her. At present, the police is investigating both the cases.
