Jamie Carragher has sensationally claimed that star "looks like a Real Madrid player".
The legend issued a damning warning to the Gunners that they could be susceptible to losing Saliba if they don't start winning trophies soon.
Arsenal's dwindling title hopes took another body blow on Wednesday night as they drew 0-0 away to . Liverpool's 2-0 win over saw team subsequently edge a massive 13 points clear of Mikel Arteta's side at the top of the table, although the injury-ravaged Gunners do still have a game in hand.

Saliba has been one of the Premier League's finest defenders over the last three seasons and has been integral to Arsenal's repeated title challenges in recent years. Arsenal, meanwhile, are still in the hunt for Champions League glory this season and face a round of 16 tie with Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven, with the first leg in the Netherlands on Tuesday.
However, they were knocked out of the and League Cup in the early rounds, and Carragher believes that clubs such as will start to forge interest in the 23-year-old Frenchman the longer his wait for major silverware goes on.
"There is one player, and people will be thinking I’m trying to cause a problem for here and I’m not," Carragher said on the latest episode of 'It’s Called Soccer' podcast. "But I think when you’re at a club and this happened to us at Liverpool, once you don’t win the league or the , other bigger clubs start thinking, 'okay, we can take their player'.
"So for us at Liverpool it was [Xabi] Alonso, [Javier] Mascherano and [Fernando] Torres and then that team that had been built by Rafa Benitez – players were just leaving left, right and centre. I do look at Saliba and to me he looks like a player. I can imagine him in a Real Madrid kit.
"You look at some of the best centre-backs out there, the longer your club isn’t winning or competing for trophies and when you’re as good as him and some of the players we had in our team. Mascherano went to the great team, Alonso goes to Real Madrid, it didn’t happen for Torres, he made the wrong choice at .
"But the longer you go without winning, people start looking at your players and thinking, 'okay, we’re going to take them', and the players are receptive to it. It’s a short career, they want to be playing in the Champions League final, they want to be winning it.
"Listen, that might happen to Arsenal this season but that’s a problem that they will have going forward if they don’t start winning trophies very quickly."
While Madrid are reported to be in Saliba for now, Arsenal legend Ian Wright has shared his concerns that the north London club's top talent could soon be looking elsewhere should their trophy drought continue. He also that Saliba will be on Madrid's wish list in the near future.
"When you’re talking about [contract renewals] with certain players… Saka, Gabriel, Saliba… the way they’re moving now, I bet those renewals are all going to be slow," Wright said.
