Pakistani model, actress, and host Iffat Omar is in the limelight yet again owing to her unique fashion sense.
On the eve of Hindu festival Holi, Iffat Omar’s photos and videos, which depict her sporting a red saree and sindoor on the parting of her hair, have created a buzz on social media.
The 53-year-old actress, who is always in the midst of controversies for her fearless life and words, adopted a Hindu-inspired appearance in her recent videos. She appears in the videos wearing a red saree, with sindoor on her hair parting. She captioned her post with a thought-provoking line:
“Sometimes you wear an outfit to fight, and sometimes to win.”
But not all people liked Iffat Omar’s appearance. Social media users severely criticized her in the comments section of her videos for using sindoor. Some said, “This is against our culture,” while others opined, “Iffat Omar should change her dress and style.”
However, her supporters defended her. One posted, “Iffat Omar has always been different in terms of style. She does whatever she wants.” Another commented, “It’s just a celebration of a festival, it shouldn’t be taken so seriously.”
During her career, Iffat Omar has always shown that she lives life as she wants without caring about the opinions of others. Her style for Holi is another perfect example of it. It remains to be seen if she switches her style with the criticism or remains firm about her decisions.
Earlier, Actress and model Iffat Omar responded to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s decision to relieve Medical Superintendent (MS) of Lahore’s Mayo Hospital.
She opined about her X (ex-Twitter) account about CM Maryam Nawaz’s action to oust the MS upon patient grievances.
Iffat Omar shared Maryam Nawaz’s visit viral video to Mayo Hospital and said in her X post:
“In my view, publicly shaming an officer in this way is not proper. It is not proper to sack someone on live television without letting them have their say and having a proper probe.”
