Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the budget in the Assembly on Tuesday. She presented a budget of Rs 1 lakh crore in the House. In the budget, Rs 5100 crore has been announced to give an honorarium to women, which includes Rs 2500 every month under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana. Apart from this, Rs 21000 will be given to pregnant women under the Maternity Scheme. CM Rekha said that 50 thousand additional cameras will be installed for women in the national capital.

The Mahila Samridhi Yojana was announced by the BJP during the elections. The party had promised the women of Delhi that after coming to power, it would give Rs 2500 every month to every woman. This scheme was approved on March 8, i.e. International Day.

What other announcements did CM Rekha make?

CM Rekha said that the Delhi government has proposed to allocate Rs 696 crore for the development of slums. Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party, Rekha Gupta said that these people go to slums only to get votes and scare them with the BJP. We have made a provision of 700 crores. The previous government did not allow anything to be taken under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana because the Prime Minister's name was there. We have allocated a budget of 20 crores for this.

CM Rekha said that despite being the capital, a large part of the population lives in slums. The budget was kept but it was not spent. Rs 696 crore is being allocated for slums. CM Rekha said that this budget is a resolution for development. In the previous government, only propaganda was done.

Rekha Gupta took a dig at Arvind Kejriwal and said that the masters of Delhi used to show dreams of making it London. Broken roads, incomplete projects and chaotic capital have been made. Rekha Gupta said that there is a proposal of 1000 crores with the help of the Center for better connectivity of Delhi with NCR.

The Chief Minister announced the formation of a trader welfare board and said that a global investment summit will be organized in the city every two years.
