Salman Khan's much awaited film Alexander has finally been released in theaters. The action thriller fell victim to online piracy. A few hours before its release in theaters, Alexander leaked online in HD print. Directed by AR Murugados, the film was released in theaters on Sunday (March 30), but the shocking thing is that it was leaked online late Saturday (29 March). The manufacturers removed the pirated version from several websites.

Trade analyst Komal Nahata wrote on the X handle, “This is the worst dream for any producer. The film is leaked before its release in theaters. Unfortunately, tomorrow evening Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Sikander' is what happened with 'Sikander' that is going to be released in theaters today.”

Nahata further revealed that Alexander has been removed from hundreds of websites, he wrote, “The producer asked the authorities to remove the film last night, but the damage was done. The multiplication continued and still continues. The condemnable act that the film starring Salman may be expensive!”

The piracy film remains an important concern for the industry, which severely affects the box office performance of a film, especially when it is made on a large scale. Talking about Salman Khan's film Alexander, fans have expressed their concern on social media. Showing support to the superstar, fans are firm to watch the film in theaters.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also stars Rashmika Mandana, Kajal Aggarwal, Satyaraj, Prateek Babbar and Sharman Joshi in important roles.
